The Ecocapsule: You can now live off the grid anywhere!

A Slovakia-based design firm nice architects has unveiled its recent development and it’s a fantastic one – the EcocapsuleThe Ecocapsule is a compact mobile homewhich can enable off-grid living under specific conditions and in specific environments.

It is “an opportunity for an eco-life. It does not need to be plugged into the traditional power and water supply as it is self-sustaining and can generate both resources from the surrounding environment,” explains the company.

At the moment, the company produces only a limited edition of the mobile home, however, general sales will be launched in 2017.

The Ecocapsule’s design is meant to both minimize the loss of heat and to collect rain water, which is then processed through a filtering system. The mobile home will utilize solar panels and wind turbines to generate energy.

Due to the size and weight of the Ecocapsule, it can be towed on a trailer, airlifted or fitted into a shipping container, making its transportation relatively easy. This “could transform the way we experience the outdoors,” says the Telegraph.
